The 5th international RCE conference was hosted by RCE Curitiba at the FIEP Convention Centre, back to back with an ESD International Conference ( from 18 to 19 May 2010). ?This conference aims to enable the diverse RCE community to develop common actions for the second half of the DESD (UN Decade of Education for Sustainable Development, 2005-2014).   Ms. Yaqiong He form RCE-Beijing participated the conference.

The conference give the community platform for RCEs sharing their resources, learning successful experiences, looking for the supports and helps, discussing the difficulties and the challenges, all these community? and cooperation also can help the RCEs to promote the ESD together.

In the conference, Ms. Yaqiong He introduced the recent research and activities taken by RCE-Beijing, which includes the teachers’ training, the development for ESD curriculum, the editing of ESD Textbook and Geography Textbook; and the program on the environmental interpretation in Museums, the study on the environmental education law, and the activities of Low Carbon Salon, and so on. Force Beijing shared the experience with other RCEs and also got advice and experiences for the ?future work. Some RCEs expressed the interest to cooperate with RCE Beijing about international programs.
